The beautiful Swainson’s Hawk (Buteo swainsoni) is the most prevalent raptor on the Armendaris ranch from May to October, and during this timeframe they seem to be everywhere. Their presence on the ranch is most welcome as they are a joy to watch – and they make great photographic subjects.
