Overview on our recent safari “Big Cats and the Great Migration”. In short: they were, it was …and vise versa.
Sometimes, everything lines up better than one can reasonably hope for – such was the case on this last safari. We enjoyed nice weather and light everyday, spectacular landscapes, incredible wildlife encounters …and photo ops that surpassed everyones expectations. Read more.

The beautiful Swainson’s Hawk (Buteo swainsoni) is the most prevalent raptor on the Armendaris ranch from May to October, and during this timeframe they seem to be everywhere. Their presence on the ranch is most welcome as they are a joy to watch – and they make great photographic subjects. Read more.
